The East Africa Trade and Investment Hub (The Hub) is a U.S. government flagship project under the Presidential Trade Africa Initiative working towards boosting trade and Investment with and within Africa. The Hub partners with East African and U.S. businesses to attract investment into the region and also works with the public and private sector to find practical solutions for trade, agriculture, policy and investment constraints in the region.
In promoting exports from Tanzania to US Market, The Hub will be conducting a number of buyer missions and trade shows for AGOA sectors in FY 2018. In order to prepare AGOA companies to engage with US buyers, the Hub will also sensitize exporters on US AGOA market trends, how to practically exports goods from AGOA eligible East African countries to the US using the duty free preferences offered by AGOA; product costing and pricing; market and technical requirements for textile, leather, wood, handcrafts and other home décor product including safety features, quality standards, product compliance and certification, product testing; labelling, packaging and shipping norms.
In this regards, the Hub is inviting you to participate to the AGOA market and technical Serminar to be held on 26 – 27 March 2018 at Protea Courtyard Hote, l starting from 9.00am.
