Geofrey Daniel Mchangila Board Chairman of The American Chambers of Commerce Tanzania (Amcham TZ).
Mr. Mchangila currently serves as the CCO & CEO for Citibank Tanzania Limited, first – ever Tanzanian CEO, with over 20years of banking and financial services experience across East Africa and Zambia. Prior to joining Citibank, Mr. Mchangila worked with NMB Bank Plc Tanzania in its Microfinance and Treasury Departments. Mr. Mchangila poses strong reputation and proven leadership built over 18 years in the banking sector. Geofrey has received appreciation from CEO Round Table for participating as a Mentor during the CEO Apprenticeship Program and Guest judge recognition on the business simulation project presentations 2022, this leadership programme is designed to attract experienced Tanzanians both within the public and private sectors to establish peer and CEO networks through training, coaching and mentorship in preparing them to become future CEOs. In addition to Amcham Board Chairman, He also serves as Vice Chairman of the Tanzania Bankers Association (TBA) and ACI Financial Markets Tanzania respectively. He holds MSc in Finance from Strathclyde University, Glasgow, Scotland. Geofrey’s personal interests include couching & mentoring, reading and football.
