Trained Chemist from University of Texas Austin, with five years combined experience working as a formulation chemist at Schlumberger in Texas (oil and gas), and as quality control manager at pharmaceutical company. My analytical skills acquired were fundamental in transferring my career to a practicing environmental compliance and enforcement officer working at NEMC (National Environment Management Council) for ten years. My primary job was to ensure companies are operating in accordance with environmental guidelines and targets, by examining corporate activities to determine where improvements can be made and ensuring compliance with environmental legislation across the organization. With vast experience is government relations, environment education awareness and ensuring compliance on laws relevant to environmental protection, this equipped me with a knowledge of Tanzania Government ecosystem, multilateral and inter agency coordination processes. The knowledge on the corporate landscape of Tanzania and government relations landed me to my current job as Executive Director American Chamber of Commerce in Tanzania where I am responsible for the management of the AmChamTZ operational and administrative functions. Oversee all management and strategic planning aspects of the organization, including advocacy, fundraising, research, commercial service and organizing support for appropriate policy changes.
I am also an active member to IAIA (International Association of Impacts Assessment), and attended three international meetings, South Africa, Spain, Norway. Recipient of Oil for Development capacity building stipend for two consecutive years. I own a business called EnjiPai Garden located in Boko @enjipaigarden for events (weddings, corporate, kids parties). My passion is cooking, events planning and an avid podcast listener.
