On Monday February 6th, The Under Secretary of Commerce for International Trade Marisa Lago and her Team , met with #amchamtz member and other business leaders in an effort to build a strong base of knowledge about business climate in Tanzania and their challenges.

Her title is equivalent to Deputy Minister in Tanzania. Under Secretary Lago is responsible for promoting U.S. exports, protecting U.S. business interests abroad and ensuring compliance with Americas trade agreements.
During her visit she plans to meet with several ministry representatives to discuss how she can strengthen U.S-Tanzania bilateral relationship and advocate for a more business-friendly environment.
