On Friday, 31st of March, the American Chambers of Commerce in Tanzania in collaboration with the U.S. Chamber of Commerce hosted investor’s roundtable meeting with U.S firms in tandem with VP Kamala Harris visit to Tanzania.
Among the attendees at the roundtable were the Ambassador of Tanzania to U.S. H.E. Elsie S. Kanza and the Deputy Assistant to the Ministry of Finance, Lawrence Nyasebwa Mafuru leading the Tanzania delegation from the government side, and leaders of Private Sectors in ICT. Health, Agriculture, Finance.
The discussions focused on the state of the nations, and insights on what real actions, policies, partnership and co ordination are required to boost investment. The meeting’s success was escorted by a lovely Iftar dinner held at Johari Rotana.
The evening was also graced with the presence of the Deputy Assistant Secretary of Commerce, DAS Camille Richardson Vice President U.S- Africa Business Center. Kendra Gaither along with U.S. Chamber delegations.
In her speech, Madam Camille, cemented on the new engagements and objectives set forth during the Vice President’s Visit in terms of strengthening the relations between Tanzania and the United States.
